Instagram Introduces New Feature to Pin Important Chats to the Top of Your Inbox
Instagram has launched a new capability that allows users to more easily access their most important conversations on the platform.
With the volume of messages increasing for many Instagram users, some chats with close friends were getting lost in the inbox.
The new "pin" feature allows users to keep select chat threads visible at the top of their inbox list. To use it, swipe left on a conversation or press and hold it, then select the "pin" option.
This will pin that chat so it remains above other messages, making it quicker to find and continue important discussions.
Users have full control and can unpin chats at any time if priorities change or conversations are finished. The pinning feature provides a handy way to prioritize key conversations without having to manually scroll through lengthy inboxes.
It's a small quality of life improvement but one that could help Instagram users stay better connected with their closest friends on the platform.
